Safeguarding Learners Policy

Our Responsibility

Myskill’s Training Solutions recognizes our duty to protect all learners, particularly young people and vulnerable adults, from harm. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment where everyone feels secure and respected.

Scope

This policy applies to all staff, instructors, contractors, and volunteers involved with Myskill’s Training Solutions, as well as interactions with our learners.

Defining Safeguarding

Safeguarding encompasses measures to protect learners from:

• Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
• Neglect or acts of omission
• Exploitation or radicalization
• Bullying or discrimination
• Exposure to harmful online content

Vulnerable Adults

We recognize that adults may also be at risk and require protection. This includes adults who:

• Have care and support needs
• Experience mental health challenges
• Have learning disabilities
• Are victims of domestic abuse
• Are vulnerable due to other circumstances

Our Safeguarding Practices

• Prevention: We train staff to recognize potential signs of abuse or vulnerability and to take appropriate action.
• Reporting Procedures: We have a clear reporting system for concerns, both internally and to relevant authorities. All reports will be treated seriously and investigated promptly.
• Online Safety: We promote online safety and responsible use of our platform, particularly for young learners.
• Partnerships: We may work with external agencies and specialists when necessary to safeguard our learners.

Risk Assessments

Myskill’s Training Solutions conducts regular risk assessments to identify potential safeguarding concerns, especially activities involving direct contact with young people or vulnerable adults.

Staff Recruitment and Screening

We follow safer recruitment practices, including background checks, for positions involving work with young or vulnerable learners.

Code of Conduct

All staff and those working with learners must adhere to a Code of Conduct outlining expected professional behavior and interactions with students.

Zero Tolerance

Myskill’s Training Solutions has zero tolerance for any form of abuse or neglect. Violations will result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal and reporting to authorities.

Policy Review & Updates

We review and update our safeguarding policy regularly to reflect evolving best practices and legal requirements.
