Malpractice Policy

Malpractice Policy

Purpose

Myskill’s Training Solutions prioritizes the integrity of our training programs and certifications. This policy establishes our procedures for investigating and addressing suspected malpractice, ensuring our certificates remain a reliable indicator of knowledge and competence.

Scope of Malpractice

Malpractice encompasses any act that deliberately compromises assessment fairness, results in false representation of skills, or undermines the value of certifications. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Cheating on exams or assessments
  • Plagiarism or misrepresentation of work
  • Impersonation or having someone else complete assessments on a student’s behalf
  • Collusion or sharing of assessment content
  • Falsification of credentials or records
  • Bribery or attempts to influence assessment outcomes

Investigations

  • Reporting: Students, staff, or third parties may report suspected malpractice to mail@myskills.ca. Reports should include as much detail as possible.
  • Thorough Examination: A designated individual or committee will investigate all reports, gathering evidence and interviewing relevant parties.
  • Confidentiality: Investigations will be conducted discreetly to protect the reputations of those involved until findings are established.

Consequences

  • Certificate Revocation: If malpractice is determined, the certificate in question will be immediately revoked.
  • No Refunds: In line with our no-refund policy, no refunds will be issued in the case of a revoked certificate due to malpractice.
  • Additional Penalties: Depending on the severity, other actions may be taken, including:
    • Permanent ban from future courses
    • Notification of employers or relevant authorities
    • Legal action, if warranted

Appeals

Individuals found in violation have the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted in writing to [Appeals Contact], following the process outlined in our Appeals Policy.

Prevention

  • Secure Assessments: We employ measures to protect assessment integrity, including proctoring, question banks, and anti-plagiarism tools.
  • Education: Students are informed about proper conduct and the consequences of malpractice.

Commitment to Fairness

Myskill’s Training Solutions takes malpractice seriously to maintain the value of our certifications and ensure a level playing field for all students.
